Serving with compassion—supporting homes, healthcare, and emergency help for families in need.
Philokalia is a word born from the ancient Greek tongue—where “philos” means love and “kalos” means beauty. Together, it speaks of a deeper kind of beauty: the beauty that rises from goodness, purity, and a compassionate heart.
Humanity has always searched for happiness—often in wealth or power. But the truest happiness is born in a heart free from malice, in a mind rooted in truth, and in a spirit that loves selflessly.
We believe compassion should not remain as words alone—it must become help that can be felt and lived. This is why our work focuses on real needs: building safe homes, supporting medical expenses, and standing with people during urgent life moments.

"When the heart becomes pure, the home becomes peaceful. When the home is peaceful, society becomes just."
Mario Joseph was born in 1978 in Wayanad, Kerala. His early learning journey was shaped through madrasa, dars, and Arabic college. At the age of 18, a deep spiritual experience at the Divine Retreat Centre led him to embrace the Christian faith.
Over the years, he learned to speak 10 languages and travelled across different continents carrying a message of love. During these journeys, a strong inner calling grew: “It is not enough to speak about love—love must be shared through service.”
To live this calling through action, he started Philokalia Charitable Trust in 2018, and later registered it officially as Philokalia Foundation in 2024.
